Anything Goes

3 months 3 weeks ago #15 by Georgina Mueller
Hi y'all,
I am a transplant here in the UK for the last 16 years but am a true foodie! Where cooking, consumption, health and nutrition are concerned, its all my religion. And yes, anything goes (well almost - I have a scant few things I just won't (like snails, balut, etc).
Let's see... I do kombucha, kefir (milk and water), Tepache, kvass and other.... Always finding new non alcoholic drinks to make. Do wine for my other half.
I do ferments (so many things to still try), dehydrate, grow garden foods, grow micro greens, sprouts, forage (and forage and forage especially love my mushrooms), can/preserve (but do not pressure can) and more but won't bore you.
Aside from all that I actually cook for a living too (not a chef because I have no formal training but a cook) but cooking at home is my real joy.

Hi Georgina,

Shamefully I had to Google 'Balut'. I'm a bit like you, in that I'll try most things. But those images at just after 5am have doomed my breakfast! (Shudders!)
